In 2008, Ofsted awarded Cornwall SCITT  Category A “Outstanding” status in recognition of the high quality of teaching training provision offered.

The strength of the partnership of schools was seen as integral to the success of Cornwall SCITT; Ofsted commented that the quality of the management and training is outstanding, that schools are highly committed to the SCITT and provide very good training venues which help to ensure the strong coherence of the training programme.

In 2011, Cornwall School Centred Initial Teacher Training  was again awarded “Outstanding” status  by Ofsted, recognising the highest quality of teaching training provision.

The 2011 Ofsted Report confirmed Cornwall SCITT as a Grade 1 Outstanding provider, awarding the top score of 9 out of 9 grade 1 categories.
