NEXT 3 DAY COURSE:  OCTOBER 2013.

Graduates or undergraduates who think that they might be interested in a teaching career can apply for the chance to go on a free 3-day taster course to find out more about secondary school teaching.

Applicants will get the opportunity to spend two days in a local secondary school and another day at Truro College and with the present subject cohort. During these visits applicants will be invited to chat to teachers and pupils, lecturers, subject leaders, current trainees and careers advisors as well as observing lessons and getting involved with classroom activities.

We are able to offer people who have a degree, or who are enrolled on a degree course, in any of the subjects we offer the opportunity to get a taste of secondary teaching with a view to making it a career. We can also offer information on all the different routes into teaching that are available.

There will be no obligation to sign up for a teaching course.

This taster course is meant to give you an introduction to teaching through a mixture of experience and information in order to help you reach a decision as to whether secondary teaching is the career for you. It should be a very interesting, fun and exciting course for anyone who has ever wondered about life in the classroom.
