The central teaching base is the new Higher Education Fal building at Truro College -
one of the newest colleges in the country - which is located on
the outskirts of Truro City in the heart of Cornwall. It is accessible by both road and
rail, and there are bus services that call at the College and run
to and from all major areas. The buildings are purpose built in
a post modern style and offer quality accommodation with resources
and facilities of an exceptionally high standard. The SCITT office and teaching rooms are based in the new Higher Education building which opened in 2006.
The Higher Education Learning Resource Centre is open into the evening for reference or a quiet work environment and is stocked with a suitable selection of titles, as are the partnership schools inthe group. There are a large number of computers capable of using an extensive range of software, and Learning Support Staff are available to give additional help when preparing for the Skills Tests or assignment preparation.
Even though you will be trained by staff employed by Cornwall SCITT,
you will be registered as a student at Truro College and therefore have the
same access to the facilities as the other students.
All buildings are accessible for students with limited mobility.
There is a day nursery available on site.
