Governance
Executive Steering Group (ESG)
Headteachers within the Cornwall SCITT partnership are members of the Cornwall SCITT Headteachers' Group, which plays a key role in the governance and strategic development of the provision. The group receives and considers internal and external quality reviews, contributes to programme evaluation, and represents the views of partner schools across the partnership.
The Chair and Vice-Chair of Cornwall SCITT are nominated from this group and lead the Executive Steering Group (ESG). Membership of the ESG includes partner headteachers from primary and secondary phases, the Accounting Officer, Course Director, Programme Managers, finance representatives, and course administration staff.
The ESG has overall responsibility for the strategic direction, quality assurance, financial oversight, and operational effectiveness of Cornwall SCITT. The group meets half-termly and ensures that all partnership institutions are represented in decision-making and future planning.
